The Jacoby Cues Great Lakes Tour got their third season off to a great start at Hall of Fame Billiards in Warren, MI this weekend.
Former tour director Alice Rim returned and took the event by storm winning her first three matches by a combined score of 21-7. Rim's race through the winners side then hit a temporary roadblock as Tracy Cantrell raced to a 5-0 lead over Alice in the next match. Rim came back to win seven of the next eight games to capture the set 7-6. The match against Cantrell certainly got Rim back into her game, as she beat Julie Melman 7-2 for the hot-seat in her next match.
Melman went to the left side of the board and eliminated Cantrell 7-4 to set up the rematch with Rim in the final. As the top finishing non-WPBA player, Cantrell earned the WPBA qualifier with her third place finish.
The final match was a single race to 9 which was quick and painless for Melman as Rim scored a dominating 9-0 win.
Rim earned $700 for first, while Melman took home $400 for second. Cantrell and Kristin Larabee filled out the top four spots. As always thanks to all of the sponsors ,
